The 5th Annual Chase Freedom Run is a 4-mile community run supporting two veteran-oriented organizations: Honor Flight Columbus and the USO of Central and Southern Ohio. The 4-mile paved run winds through wooded areas and open fields.
All parking is at the Chase facility at 340 S. Cleveland Avenue, across the street from Sharon Woods Metro Park and next to St. Ann's Hospital, a short walk to the race location. There is no parking at the Sharon Woods race site.
Honor Flight Columbus recognizes and celebrates World War II and Korean War veterans by flying them, at no cost, to Washington D.C. to visit memorials dedicated to their important service. Visit

The USO serves to lift the spirits of troops and their families through the dedication and generosity of the American people. Whether it is a commitment of time from a volunteer or a contribution of dollars from a donor, the USO turns this generosity into centers, programs, and services that reach troops in the most remote corners of the globe. USO of Central & Southern Ohio is responsible for 55 counties in Central and Southern Ohio, and four counties in West Virginia. The focus includes the Ohio Guard and Reserve Units and Wright-Patterson, AFB, center on Family Readiness and Warrior Support for all branches of the U.S. Military.

We recognize the tremendous sacrifices military members, veterans and their families have made for our nation. They often face significant challenges as they transition back to civilian life or seek to balance their careers with continued service in the Guard or Reserve.
To further these efforts, in 2011 we co-founded the Veteran Jobs Mission, a coalition of more than 225 companies dedicated to employing U.S. military veterans. Collectively, members of the Mission are committed to hiring a total of one million veterans - and are also working to increase its focus on the engagement and career development of veterans in the private sector. Since the Mission began, we have hired more than 10,000 veterans.
Through our programs in employment, financial capability and small business, we aim to position military members, veterans and their families for success in their post-service lives. We are investing $45 million toward programs and initiatives to help military families.
